About The Bridge Foundation
Bridging Dreams to Destinations.
The Bridge Foundation was created to solve a simple but powerful problem: Most youth never pursue S.T.E.M. or Healthcare careers not because they can't, but because no one ever showed them how.
Our Mission
To connect underserved, first-generation, and financially limited youth ages 14–25 with early access to opportunities in S.T.E.M. and Healthcare through education, service, and career exposure.
Our Vision
A world where every youth has the support, access, and resources to pursue meaningful careers and reach their full potential.
Our C.B.G.O. Values
Creating Bridges, Growing Opportunities
Commitment
We must show up, stay consistent, and invest in the youth for the long run.
~ Jacobi White, Founder
We stay consistent and show up for the long run. Students need to know they won't be abandoned halfway.
Belief
We must believe in every student's potential, even when they doubt themselves.
~ Jacobi White, Founder
We believe in every student's potential, even when they doubt themselves. We make every connection personal and purposeful.
Guidance
We must provide guidance that offers direction, encouragement, and real-life opportunity.
~ Jacobi White, Founder
We guide with purpose and direction. Students need trusted voices to help them navigate school, careers, and challenges.
Opportunity
We must provide access to experiences, skills, and networks that open doors to S.T.E.M. and Healthcare careers.
~ Jacobi White, Founder
We open doors to real experiences, skills, and networks. It's not enough to believe in students—they need tangible opportunities to succeed.

Jacobi White
Founder & Executive Director
Who you know matters. Every young person should know someone. That belief drives Jacobi White, founder of The Bridge Foundation, a Lincoln nonprofit that connects underserved young people to careers in healthcare and STEM.
He learned it from experience. Jacobi has worked at the bedside, in the laboratory, in clinical research, and inside the provider networks that coordinate patient care. In every setting, he saw that talent and effort opened some doors, but a trusted connection opened the rest. Many capable young people never had one.
The Bridge Foundation was built to supply it. Under his leadership, the organization has assembled a growing coalition of healthcare, civic, and business partners who open their doors to young people, and it has created hands-on experiences that have led directly to employment for participants. The model is deliberately focused: exposure, certification, and a relationship with someone already in the field.
A healthcare professional by training, Jacobi is completing a master's degree in health administration, with the goal of leading at the highest levels of healthcare. He is quick to say the work is early and that its progress belongs to the community that backed it. He holds himself to a simple standard: be the connection he once needed.
"Who you know matters. Every young person should know someone."
